About the Job

The Red Hat IT Developer Enablement team is looking for a Platform Engineer (PE) based in India (Pune or Bangalore) to own and operate images.paas — Red Hat's central internal container image registry built on Red Hat Quay.

images.paas serves thousands of internal users across Red Hat, providing a secure, self-service registry for container images used in production, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflows. The platform is managed through a custom Kubernetes Operator written in Go and a GitOps-based configuration pipeline running on OpenShift on AWS.

You will be the primary PE for this service — responsible for its reliability, automation, and evolution. You will work within a small, globally distributed team that values openness, blameless learning, and sustainable operations.
