About the Role
POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinates, motivates, and develops Service Department staff in an effective and efficient operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
+ Perform the essential duties of a Service Technician.
+ Train Technicians and assist when needed.
+ Oversee the work of technicians to ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
+ Assign and schedule daily work orders.
+ Assure that employees are cross-trained to ensure adequate coverage for all positions.
+ Conduct regular service department meetings.
+ Process and update service technician records and recovery rates.
+ Attend any company, store and community functions that will benefit the dealership.
+ Maintain company vehicles that are assigned to the Service Department.
+ Control expenses of Service Department while maintaining services for customers.
