Social entrepreneurs are change agents who use social enterprise and social innovation to address complex social problems. This course introduces students to social entrepreneurship across nonprofit, social enterprise, hybrid, and for-profit models. Students will examine the social entrepreneurship ecosystem, opportunity identification, community co-creation, business planning, market and industry analysis, design thinking, funding models, revenue streams, capital structures, legal structures, and the development of social ventures.
