About the Role

  • Assess current WordPress + Apache + PHP environment and identify upgrade risks

  • Plan and execute Apache and PHP upgrades (currently Apache 2.4.48 / PHP 7.2.34)

  • Identify and remediate potential issues related to:

    WordPress core

    Plugins

    Themes

    Any custom configurations

  • Ensure site stability post-upgrade and troubleshoot any breakages

  • Maintain existing integration to external e-commerce system (must not be disrupted)

  • Work with limited documentation and reverse engineer environment as needed



    • What you must have:

  • Strong experience with WordPress (backend) and PHP

  • Hands-on experience with Apache and Linux-based environments (LAMP stack)

  • Proven experience performing PHP/Apache upgrades in live environments

  • Ability to troubleshoot plugin/theme compatibility issues
