Senior Underwriting Developer, Singapore/Sydney (1 year FTC)

As a Senior Underwriting Developer, you will work closely with the AVP, Global Underwriting & Claims Development, Protection to support a 12‑month project to update our underwriting manual Ocean, focusing on protection underwriting philosophy. You will develop and implement an underwriting proposition that meets client needs and aligns with PL Re’s strategic focus, including risk‑based underwriting frameworks suitable for automation.

Ocean Development (80‑90%)

• Develop, review, and update medical research‑based loading (RBL) papers for Protection products, translating clinical evidence into clear, defensible underwriting positions suitable for Ocean.
• Conduct structured medical literature reviews, including epidemiology, prognosis, treatment advances, and outcomes relevant to Life, CI, TPD, and IP underwriting.
