Senior Specialist, Method Transfers – EU/APAC (Salamanca)

In the General Science & Technology (S&T) division of Merck & Co., we support new product commercialization and supply continuity for animal health manufacturing. The Global Analytical Technology Solutions (ATS) oversees analytical activities across the network. This role is part of a newly formed Bio Method Transfer team focused on large‑molecule method transfers across EU/APAC.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute large‑molecule analytical method transfers across R&D and QC laboratories, ensuring right‑first‑time implementation at receiving QC sites.
• Provide expert support and act as a sparring partner for R&D during early assay development to ensure robustness, platform suitability, biomaterial availability, and QC feasibility.
• Prepare and lead transfer plans, including timelines, milestones, documentation, readiness criteria, resource planning, and cost planning.
