Senior Safety Engineer (Land)

The Role

As a Senior Safety Engineer, you will play a key role in assuring the safety of some of the UK's most complex and innovative defence capabilities, helping customers safely exploit software, digital, data-driven and AI-enabled systems.

Working across Defence Digital, Land and Air programmes, you will support the delivery of independent safety advice, safety assessments and safety assurance activities for military capabilities. Projects are predominantly software and data intensive, requiring a strong understanding of systems safety, data integrity, software assurance and emerging technologies.

Day-to-day, you'll lead safety engineering activities, develop safety cases and hazard assessments, engage directly with defence customers and stakeholders, and provide technical leadership across a range of complex programmes.
