Senior / Prosthetist, Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery

Overview* A Functional Prosthetist provides functional upper limb prosthetic fitting service as an adjunct to the specialty of hand and reconstructive microsurgery. He/ she is to provide pre-and post-prosthetic counselling, evaluate patient and recommend correct prosthesis; to fabricate and produce fit high-quality prostheses for upper limb amputations and follow-up, as well as to expand prosthetic service by providing functional prosthesis for varying levels of hand amputations. He /she is to work alongside with our current aesthetic prosthetist to enable the delivery of comprehensive prosthetic solutions that optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Beyond clinical practice, a Functional Prosthetist will also be involved in research studies, teaching as well as other relevant operations and administration.
