About the Role
Elevate your legal career as a Senior Policy Counsel with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). In this hybrid position, you'll shape investment regulations and collaborate with top professionals in the field.
As a part of the Member Regulation Policy Team, you’ll work closely with the Director to develop and amend Dealer Member regulations. Your role will encompass drafting and reviewing policies and ensuring effective communication with CIRO's advisory committees and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and draft essential Dealer Member regulations
• Facilitate the review process for policy initiatives
• Prepare and present materials for advisory committees
• Interact with stakeholders to clarify Dealer Member rules
• Represent CIRO on key regulatory issues
Requirements:
• Law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) is mandatory
• 3+ years’ experience in legal practice
• Good standing with a Canadian Bar
