Senior Manual Machinist

We are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to join a busy mechanical engineering workshop.

You will be involved in the manufacture and repair of components using manual (non‑CNC) lathes, milling machines, and vertical borers, with occasional on‑site work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manual turning, milling, and boring of mechanical components
• Mechanical fitting and repair work
• Workshop‑based role with occasional site visits
• Participation in overtime and on‑call rota
• Ongoing training and skills development

Requirements

• Time‑served machinist with strong manual machining experience
• Background in conventional lathes, milling or boring machines
• NC and CNC experience beneficial but not essential
• Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable with varied workloads
