About the Role

VHIR is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Gene Therapy for Nervous System Research Group. Our group focuses on the study of the molecular mechanisms involved in environment-related cognitive deficits and Alzheimer's disease, using animal models of Alzheimer's and of healthy aging to test new therapeutic proteins.

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Perform in vitro and in vivo experiments with gene therapy vectors.

  • Bioinformatic analysis of data generated from transcriptomic and proteomic studies.

Education and qualifications:
Required:

  • Bachelor degree in Biotechnology, in Biomedicine, or similar

  • Master in Bioinformatics or similar

  • Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (professional proficiency)
