The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Electronics Technician to support practical teaching and laboratory activities across the School of Engineering’s electronic laboratories.

Working as part of a skilled technical team, you will support taught modules, student projects, and research activities while contributing to the development of new laboratory experiments and facilities.

You will be involved in a wide range of student-led projects and research initiatives involving:

  • Analogue and digital circuits, including troubleshooting and fault finding

  • Printed circuit board (PCB) design, prototyping and assembly

  • AC/DC low-voltage motor drive systems

  • Microcontroller based systems (Microchip PIC, Arduino, and Raspberry Pi) including embedded programming
