Senior Database Administrator (Mainframe)

The role is responsible for providing subject matter expertise on the selection, design, development and integration of multi-platform, distributed databases. The role utilizes a solid understanding of business dynamics to collaborate with and advise senior management, identifying and solving complex and highly critical database issues. The role provides technical leadership, functioning as a resource on database management issues by reviewing and providing recommendations on policy and standards. Additionally, the role leads the overall logical database architecture design, testing, implementation, maintenance and control of the organization's physical, relational and object-oriented databases across multiple platforms and computing environments. The role independently resolves a variety of ambiguous challenges with organization-wide impacts on cost and efficiency, devising new methods using strong analytic and inductive thinking.
