About the role
The Senior Commodity Manager, Steel is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for steel service center suppliers that support manufacturing operations across Carrier. This role drives supplier performance, cost optimization, commercial negotiations, and supply continuity while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and long-term business success.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Commodity Manager, Steel, you'll be responsible for:
Develop and execute sourcing and supplier management strategies for steel service center suppliers to support business, operational, quality, and cost objectives.
Lead supplier selection, commercial negotiations, contract management, pricing strategies, and payment term discussions to maximize value and support working capital goals.
