About the Role

This full-service Scottish law firm is recruiting a Senior Associate to join its Private Client practice. The position can be based from Glasgow or Edinburgh. This is a newly created role and represents a clear step between Associate and Partner, offering genuine leadership responsibility and long‑term progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a predominantly executries‑focused caseload, including complex estates, with minimal supervision.
  • Advising clients on executries, wills, powers of attorney, trusts and inheritance tax matters.
  • Supervising and supporting solicitors, trainees, paralegals and support staff, including delegation and review of work.
  • Working closely with the responsible Partner on team performance, resourcing and financial matters.
  • Contributing to business development, cross‑referrals and growth of the Private Client practice.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and firm‑wide risk requirements.
