SEMH Teaching Assistant

Milk Education is recruiting caring and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants to join SEN schools across Nottingham, working on a long-term or short-term basis, starting in September.


This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to reach their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them to engage in learning.
• Support pupils’ emotional regulation and social development throughout the school day.
• Implement positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques to promote a calm environment.
• Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to track progress and reinforce consistency in support.
