Security and Response Officer

The University of St Andrews is currently seeking an ambitious and dynamic individual for the position of Security and Response Officer within the University Security and Response Team. Reporting to a Security and Response Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that the University is a safe and secure environment for the students and staff that live and work here, as well as for visitors.

Working across and beyond the University Estate, duties will include ensuring that our buildings are secure, alarms and causes for concern are responded to appropriately, and that technology such as CCTV, incident recording system and digital radio / telephone system are utilised effectively.

Training will be provided during deployment, as part of a probationary period. Postholders will be required to undergo and pass training in an accredited Emergency First Aid course and Higher Education Safety and Security.
