Job Overview
The Seasonal Float Fabricator contributes to the construction of floats, props, and other scenic elements for Macy’s iconic events, including the Thanksgiving Day Parade, Spring Flower Shows, 4th of July Fireworks, Santaland, and other seasonal elements.
What You Will Do
Work as a carpenter, welder, fabricator, or painter on floats and other studio projects. Participate in installations, set-ups, and take-downs for various events. Assist with parade set-up and other necessary tasks during events. Contribute to the installation and implementation of special projects, such as Holiday Displays, Marquee Elements, and Flower Shows. Collaborate with the Production Manager and Shop Floor Supervisor on project engineering methods, planning, and production. Fulfill other tasks and duties as assigned by the director of production and/or production manager. Skills You Will Need
