Road Patrol Technician

Job Summary

The Road Patrol Technician is responsible for maintaining roadways by removing debris, setting up traffic control devices, identifying roadway hazards, and performing routine highway maintenance. This role supports roadway safety by operating maintenance equipment, performing preventive maintenance on tools and vehicles, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Patrol roadways to identify hazards and maintenance needs.
• Remove debris, litter, and other roadway obstructions.
• Set up and maintain safe traffic control using cones, signs, and arrow boards.
• Identify hazardous roadway conditions and report required repairs.
• Perform roadway maintenance, including pothole patching, brush cutting, weed removal, painting, and flagging.
