Scope of work:
The Wound Care Educator (RN) is responsible for advancing evidence-based skin integrity, wound, and ostomy care practices across the organization. This role provides education, clinical consultation, and quality improvement support to nursing staff and interprofessional partners, with a strong focus on prevention and management of hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPIs).The Wound Care Educator functions in an educational and consultative capacity. The role partners closely with nursing leadership, unit-based Skin Champions, and quality teams to support standardization of practice, documentation accuracy, and improved patient outcomes.
