Summary: Serves as a virtual nurse to provide support to inpatient nursing staff at Rex. Reports and collaborates with bedside nurses to remotely provide admissions and discharge support to patients.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION - Perform virtual medication and discharge teaching for patients; serve as an on call preceptor to inpatient nursing team
IMPLEMENTATION – Communicate patient needs to primary nurse, adhere to clinical protocols and provide evidence-based care
EVALUATION – Participate in audits and improvement projects related to virtual inpatient support
LEADERSHIP – Prioritize patient care needs, escalate issues of concern, collaborate with primary nurse to coordinate care throughout inpatient stay, serve as a role model for professional nursing practi...
