Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Oregon License Required - Can apply for the OR 90-Day Emergency License Certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Must-Have: - Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, routine nursery, and Intermediate Nursery - Ability to be independent in all areas of care - Strong nursing skills Description: The unit has 5 LDR beds and 1 OR suite. There is 1 triage bed and 3 postpartum beds in addition to the LDR beds. The unit averages approximately 340 births per year, with 30-35 deliveries per month. Ratios follow AWHONN guidelines. Nurses are required to titrate drips including Pitocin and insulin. A charge nurse is present on the unit, and there is a house supervisor available. Support staff includes CNA II and unit secretary.
