Resident Doctor - Paediatrics - Whangarei

Role

Head Medical is seeking motivated post-Foundation doctors with a minimum of 12 months Paediatrics experience, keen to further broaden their clinical experience within Paediatrics and Neonatology in New Zealand.

Based at Whangārei Hospital, this opportunity combines excellent clinical exposure and professional development.

Responsibilities

You will be involved in the care of paediatric inpatients, acute and elective admissions, ward rounds, outpatient clinics and referrals from ED and other specialties. The role also includes attendance at deliveries, newborn assessments, and involvement in the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), providing valuable neonatal experience alongside broad general paediatric exposure.

The Paediatric department works within a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment with strong consultant support, offering excellent clinical exposure and learning opportunities.
