**Job Description**
**Position Summary:**
This Research Scientist will work on multiple ongoing and future projects while developing new independent research projects in natural resources fields such as wildlife ecology, carnivore ecology and management, and rangeland ecology. The Research Scientist will solicit support from a variety of funding sources including state and federal agencies, non-profit organizations, and foundations. The Research Scientist may supervise Research Associates, hourly employees, or students and may advise graduate students in the Graduate Degree Program in Ecology and related programs. The Research Scientist will build a nationally recognized research program that conducts applied research and engages with ranchers, state and federal agencies, non-profit organizations, and others involved in wildlife and rangeland management. This position may range from 50%-100% FTE, dependent on funding.
