Research Materials Engineer (Open to both U.S. Citizens and Federal Employees)

Summary As a Research Materials Engineer, you will serve as a researcher responsible for managing Federal Highway Administration's accelerated pavement testing research program, identifying, planning, conducting, managing, and coordinating research and development activities associated with flexible and rigid pavement materials. You will also serve as the Federal Laboratory Manager for the Pavement Testing Facility, leading national-level research and assisting in deployment of research findings. Responsibilities As a Research Materials Engineer, you will: Manage FHWA's accelerated pavement testing research program and the Pavement Testing Facility. Identify, plan, conduct, and coordinate research and development activities. Oversee the progress of studies, projects, and contracts involving pavement testing and evaluation.
