Research Fellow (Mechanical Engineering)

The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) offers a full range of additive manufacturing services and is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to advance robotics‑enabled additive manufacturing of wood‑polymer composites (WPCs). The role involves robot arm programming, path planning, and printing parameter optimisation to fabricate large‑scale, complex, high‑performance structures for industries such as furniture and manufacturing.

• Design, synthesize, and characterize composite materials suitable for various AM platforms (e.g., extrusion, DLP, SLA, DIW).
• Optimize printing parameters for AM and integrate with robotic systems (robot arm programming, path planning, etc.).
• Evaluate rheological, thermal, and mechanical properties and structural performance of developed composites.
