About the Role

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Fellow to join the School of Physics and Astronomy and contribute to research in Mid-Infrared Nanophotonics.

In this role you will lead the establishment of a new research line on mid-infrared nanophotonics, with a strong focus on near-field optical microscopy of structured light fields. The research will comprise fundamental studies of metasurfaces and applications in sensing and mid-infrared optoelectronics.

The Research Fellow will play a leading role in the establishment of the Mid-Infrared Nanophotonics Laboratory, including the setup and use of specialized microscopy systems, and conduct metasurface studies in polaritonics.
