About the Role

The opportunity:

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge ophthalmic research. Your main focus areas will include:

  • Design, plan, and execute experiments; analyze data.
  • Establish functional cellular assays, 2D and/or 3D cell culture systems for disease‑relevant models of ocular diseases.
  • Perform cell engineering via nucleic‑acid‑based modalities.
  • Apply state‑of‑the‑art molecular biology techniques for in‑vitro and ex‑vivo analysis such as: ex‑vivo tissue processing for FACS and OMIC analyses; protein analyses and tissue preparation (Western blot, ELISA, FACS, Luminex, immunohisto‑/ cytochemistry); histology; expression profiling (qPCR, scRNA/snRNA library preparation); microscopy and image analysis (confocal and fluorescence microscopy, high‑content imaging).
  • Develop, characterize, and apply advanced in‑vitro microphysiological systems such as spheroids, organoids, organ‑on‑chip...
