Registered Practical Nurse-Permanent Full-Time-Extendicare Mississauga

Job Description: The RPN/LPN will enhance the effective management and quality of nursing practice daily, meeting the standards set by governing bodies and internal policies.

Salary: RPN Visit Rate. Nursing Schedule: As per collective agreement. Access to reliable vehicle in community home care is required.

Designated shift may vary; must be flexible based on the needs of the home. Time type: full time.

General Responsibilities

• Ensure care is provided with established nursing standards and principles, physicians’ orders and administrative policies, observe, report and record vital signs, symptoms and conditions of residents / patients; assure observance of required techniques in nursing care.
• Assist in assessing patients/residents and develop, implement, review, and evaluate care plans. Monitor health, note changes in condition and assess need for referral to doctors; process and implement physicians’ orders.
