Registered Nurse (Urology Specialty Clinic)

Summary James A Haley Veterans hospital and clinics has a opening for a Registered nurse within our Urology Specialty Clinic. This position reports directly to our nurse manager within our Nursing Perioperative department. Responsibilities Duties listed but not limited to: Demonstrates the ability to formulate a plan of care based on nursing assessments and the goal of care for the patient. Seeks guidance on how to improve care provided to patients and families. Delegates elements of care to the appropriate individual based on assessed needs, conditions, and patient safety. The RN brings principles and theory with limited application of critical thinking skills. The RN provides patient care and care coordination, assists with minor office procedures, follows the Medical Center Policies (MCPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), actively participates in the time-out process, and follows the current Hospital National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG).
