8 Main is a 33 bed acuity adaptable step down/progressive care unit that specializes in Cardiac Care (post intervention care, dysrhythmias, heart failure, and cardiac conditions requiring monitoring), Renal Transplant (recipients, donors, and transplant rejection), and Vascular Surgery (amputation, revascularization, and bypass). Additionally, we frequently care for patients with other acute medical needs, including DKA, ETOH withdrawal, sepsis, respiratory illnesses, and others. 8Main is a great place to develop, or bolster, your nursing skills, examples include: hi-flow oxygen and respiratory management, management of multiple IV drips, telemetry, peritoneal dialysis, Glucostabilizer tool for continuous insulin drips, post PCI care, and others.
