Position Overview

This role is essential in coordinating comprehensive nursing care, encompassing direct patient care, patient and family education, and managing transitions of care. The position upholds professional nursing practice across diverse settings and throughout the continuum of care to address the needs of both patients and their families. Key responsibilities include planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. The role also involves providing leadership through activities such as serving as a preceptor, taking on informal leadership roles, and engaging in quality improvement initiatives. Patient care delegation is strategically based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal responsibility, and resource availability.
