About the Role


Duties


  • Work in both labor and post-partum units.

  • Shift: 3x12 Days/Nights (0700-1930 and 1900-0730).

  • Average Daily Census: 8 deliveries per day; post-partum: 15 per day.

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.

  • Float within scope as needed to meet facility needs.

  • Perform sterile vaginal exams.

  • Administer Pitocin (oxytocin) and manage/administer Epidural Anesthesia.



Skills


  • BLS Certification.

  • NRP Certification.

  • Experience with External and Internal Fetal Monitoring.

  • Experience with IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration.

  • Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.

  • Pain Management, including Epidural Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide.
