Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (Cardiac Stepdown) provides direct patient care for individuals requiring telemetry monitoring and stepdown-level management. The role focuses on safe medication administration, rhythm interpretation, and coordination of care for complex cardiopulmonary conditions.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry/strip readings to identify dysrhythmias and clinical changes.
  • Administer and manage IV infusions and titratable drips (e.g., heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, cardizem, insulin).
  • Perform assessments and manage patient care for heart failure, chest pain rule-outs, NSTEMI, post-procedure patients, COPD exacerbations, and withdrawal/overdose-related cases.
  • Initiate and maintain IV therapy, including effective IV start and line management.
  • Prepare and respond to patient needs requiring respiratory support coordination for acute exacerbations. <...
