Refuse Driver Chargehand

We are looking for a motivated LGV C driver to join our refuse/recycling collection team. This role focuses on the councils curbside refuse and recycling collection services and is responsible for the following:

• Refuse loading
• Vehicle defect reporting
• Vehicle condition and cleanliness
• Liaising with supervisors and office staff
• Route scheduling
• Reporting of accidents and near misses

Responsibilities include collecting various types of waste and recycling from households, commercial and industrial properties using wheeled bins, bulk items and refuse sacks, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all allocated vehicles, and complying with all applicable driving legislation and agreed practices.

An LGV C driving licence and current driver qualification card are essential.
