Reefer Van Technician

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the cooling system of the van.
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration and cooling equipment in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.
• Keeps refrigeration inventory up to date and orders replacement parts as needed.
• Have the ability to adjust boiler or refrigeration systems pressures through adjustment of controls.
• Acts as mechanical, technical, and operational support to all refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics, and boilers for the facility.
• Supports the Maintenance team in matters pertaining to refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics, and boilers.
• Assures compliance with refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics, and boilers standards set forth by maintenance management.
• Analyzes refrigeration malfunctions from performance and test equipment readings and determines appropriate repairs.
