About the Role

Summary The Records and Information Management Specialist position is in the Support Services Division, Administrative Team. Under the general direction of the Support Services Administrative Supervisor, the RIMS for VBA facilities and has oversight for the facility wide records management program. The RO is the subject matter expert for the facility records management program with oversight of management functions and conducts management of the record information lifecycle maintenance. Responsibilities Specific duties include: Develops and implement facility policies and procedures in accordance with VA and VBA policy, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) add other applicable federal laws and regulations. Develops standardized file inventory/file plan and indexing approaches, where appropriate, to simplify the use, access, and integration of information within their facility.
