R&D Senior Optics/ Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Design, model, and optimize optical systems, components (lenses, light source, photodiode arrangement), and subsystems for specific performance criteria. Experience in optical products design.
• Simulation & Analysis: Perform optical modeling, simulations (e.g., Zemax, Lumerical), tolerance analysis, and data interpretation to validate designs that fulfill Must-Want.
• Prototyping & Testing: Develop, build, test, and evaluate prototypes with ASIC, to confirm performance and functionality per optics simulation.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, mechanical, electrical, IC, test engineers) and external suppliers/vendors to materialize the design.
• Documentation: Prepare technical reports, specifications, drawings, and design documentation for internal/external sharing.
