R&D NPI Engineer

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Engage in optical product design reviews at the earliest stage, conduct rigorous Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assemblability assessments tailored to optical connectivity components. Deliver targeted process optimization proposals for critical requirements including high-precision ferrule alignment, fiber insertion loss control, and 100% valid optical performance testing, to eliminate manufacturability barriers before trial production.

2.Act as the formal liaison between the optical design team and on-site production teams. Ensure all design specifications for fiber geometry, connector assembly tolerances and test criteria are accurately transmitted and fully understood by manufacturing teams, while collecting, prioritizing and feeding back on-site trial production data and operational bottlenecks to the design team to support rapid design iteration.
