About the Role

Summary You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING) in the NONNUCLEAR INSPECTION DIVISION, QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the verification, certification and maintenance of documentation used to assure the safety, operational capabilities and material condition of nuclear submarines. You will determine the scope of work required for proper certification of inspection and test processes supporting Level I material installation and Subsafe certification. You will report to responsible parties all discrepancies discovered during the certification process. You will serve as the Quality Assurance representative at off-yard sites.
