Job Description
- Review and comment on contractor welding quality plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), WPSs, PQRs, and WQRs.
- Witness and verify welder qualification tests and ensure only qualified personnel perform project welding activities.
- Monitor implementation of approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and compliance with welding parameters.
- Coordinate and oversee NDT activities including RT, UT, MT, and PT examinations.
- Review NDT results and ensure compliance with applicable acceptance criteria and project requirements.
- Verify traceability of welding consumables, materials, and weld joints throughout fabrication and installation.
- Investigate welding non-conformances and support resolution of NCRs, TQs, and corrective actions.
- Monitor welding quality performance, repair rates, and defect trends, recommending improvement measures where required.
