About the Role

The European Space Agency’s (ESA)CELESTE programme aims to define and evaluate a new generation of satellite
navigation systems based on low Earth orbit (LEO) constellations, complementing
the current GNSS systems in medium Earth orbit (MEO). This programme addresses
challenges relating to technology, system architecture, interoperability and
the provision of high-precision, resilient and low-latency navigation services.
The next phase of the programme is CELESTE In-Orbit Preparation (IOP), a
large-scale project covering the end-to-end system and integrating multiple
sub-projects.

  • Lead the execution of the CELESTE
    project or one of its sub-projects, ensuring compliance with technical
    objectives, planning and budget
  • Act as the main point of contact
    with the ESA and other programme clients/partners
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams
    (systems, space segment, ground segment, navigation, operations, etc.)
