Project Costing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Develop accurate cost estimates for new projects based on project scope, resource requirements, and historical data; work closely with project managers and stakeholders to establish project budgets; identify and quantify potential cost risks.
• Project Cost Tracking & Monitoring: Monitor actual project costs against budgeted figures on a regular basis; track labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs; ensure all project‑related expenditures are recorded properly and timely.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, including cost performance reports, forecasts, and variance analyses; report budget overruns or cost savings to management and suggest corrective actions; present cost data in meetings with project teams and finance.
