Responsibilities

Enhancing the capacity of governments in the Asia-Pacific region is key to the effective production and use of relevant and disaggregated statistics for policymaking, monitoring, and evaluation. In partnership with the Republic of Korea, ESCAP supports countries through its innovative tools and solutions that enable them to establish a dialogue between national policy sectors, statistical offices, and SDG implementation bodies to review existing policies, identify priority issues and population groups of focus, and develop comprehensive monitoring frameworks to enable evidence-based decision making (through implementation of Every Policy is Connected EPiC tool).
