Product Procurement Engineer - Buyer

Human Castle Recruiting is supporting an international capital equipment manufacturer in the acquisition of a Product Procurement Engineer in Northern Buffalo. This is a direct-hire role with full benefits including two yearly bonuses. The Product Procurement Engineer supports the Purchasing Department by managing the procurement of engineered components in a capital equipment manufacturing environment. The hired incumbent is responsible for:-Participate in project teams with coordination between designers and suppliers-Apply Engineering knowledge to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and codes-Manage overall cost of projects and ensure on-time delivery of components-Secure quotes and place purchase orders-Maintain orders, schedules, and shortage reports-Support production requirements-Monitor supplier performance-Manage NCRs, including corrective and preventive actions-Develop and support cost reduction & negotiations Required-Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field...
