About the Role

The Johns Hopkins University's Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics invites applicants for one or more positions as Postdoctoral Fellow. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. prior to their appointment start date, and no later than 8/31/2026 and show definite promise in research and teaching. The teaching load will be at most one course each semester, and often as little as one course per year, depending on funding and needs of the department, so that the appointee will have ample time for research. The appointment is for two years, with possibility of renewal, depending on funding availability.

The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with Bloomberg Distinguished Professor Domenico Giannone. Professor Giannone's research lies at the intersection of economics, applied statistics, and data science, with a focus on advancing empirical and computational methods for understanding complex economic and financial systems.
