Summary The United States Capitol Police (USCP) safeguards the Congress, Members of Congress, employees, visitors, and Congressional buildings and grounds from crime, disruption, and terrorism. We protect and secure Congress so it can fulfill its constitutional and legislative responsibilities in a safe, secure and open environment. Responsibilities This position is located in the Crime Scene Search, Special Operations Division, Operational Services Bureau. Crime Scene Search is responsible for responding to various crime scenes, at various locations, and assuming control of crime scenes in order to photograph, diagram, record, process, and collect all items of evidentiary value. Performs a full range of crime scene search functions on a variety of crime scenes within the Capitol Grounds and its extended jurisdiction.
