Plantations on Ancient Woodland Sites (PAWS) Project Officer
Salary: £33,854 per annum. Contract: 3‑year fixed term, with possibility of extension or permanency. Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8:30‑5:00, Friday 8:30‑4:30, with one-hour lunch).
Responsibilities
Ancient woodlands are irreplaceable ecosystems that have been historically degraded. The PAWS Project Officer will manage rehabilitation projects across the nation’s forests, improving ecological value and restoring native woodland structure. You will work closely with planning and operational teams to build programmes that accelerate restoration on the most challenging sites and help the district majority achieve policy targets by 2044.
Where you’ll work
