What you will do:
What you will do:
- Perform all phlebotomy services for the Adult Outpatient Clinic
- Draw blood using sterilized needles, vials, and other equipment
- Collect urine samples for drug screens, and/or urinalysis
- Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples
- Label samples correctly and send for testing
- Operate centrifuge, timers, and other laboratory equipment in completing assigned duties
- Keep accurate records on all specimens
- Accurately and timely document details of the service the EMR
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards while working
- Provide excellent customer service
- Reassure clients and help calm their nerves
- Answer patient questions and provide useful information
- Contact clients the day before lab appointment to review lab preparation instructions
