  • Domestic Violence Program (DVP)
  • Join the dedicated team of professionals for our Domestic Violence Program (DVP) and become a trained, certified Domestic Violence Advocate. DVP offers services to anyone who is a victim of domestic abuse and provides a diverse array of services including 24/7 emergency shelter, court advocacy assistance, referral and information services, individual counseling, support groups, case management, recreation, educational programs for schools and training for professionals throughout Northeastern Connecticut.


    Responsibilities include (DVP):

  • Shelter and phone coverage

  • Assist clients in addressing basic needs, including medical and psychiatric needs

  • Individual and group counseling

  • Advocacy

  • Case management

  • Safety planning, crisis intervention and risk assessment

  • Coordinate care with providers and families as needed
